A Global FMCG multinational company has an immediate requirement for a Data Governance Standards Expert Consultant.
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Standards Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of data governance principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other subject matter experts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, communicate, implement, and measure the effectiveness of data governance standards.
- Identify and support data owners’ network within HR and Marketing and develop a scorecard to measure individual ownership maturity
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts to benchmark our practices against industry standards.
- Support general data governance operations, including facilitating senior council meetings, conducting spot audits, and managing risks.
- Lead metrics measurement, training, and awareness campaigns to promote a culture of data governance across the organization.
- Work closely with HR and Marketing teams on data-driven activities, ensuring compliance with data governance standards and practices.
- Evolve and embed the data governance framework within the organization.
- Serve as the conduit between the senior stakeholders and the data governance lead or council.
- Facilitate the implementation and ongoing data governance processes.
- Implement the data governance program vision, promote the role of governance, and enforce policy, while following data governance best practices.
Essential Skills:
- 5-7 years of data governance experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data governance concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Strong knowledge of privacy and data management principles.
- Experience with data quality management and familiarity with data technology platforms.
- Understanding of data lakes and their role in data governance.
- Proven experience in facilitating meetings, conducting audits, and managing risks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a commitment to team success.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Data Protection, Cyber and Information Lawyer.
