Client-side SAP governance driving a best-in-group ERP transformation.
PROBLEM
MaagTechnik, a subsidiary of ERIKS, required a major SAP transformation to modernise its enterprise systems and support operational growth across its trading and distribution business.
The programme involved complex process harmonisation, cross-functional change, and close coordination with a large System Integrator (SI). As with many ERP implementations, there was a risk that technical delivery could drift from business priorities, reducing operational value and increasing cost exposure.
MaagTechnik required independent, client-side programme leadership to ensure structured governance, clear accountability, and full alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
SOLUTION
Neem was engaged to operate client-side as Senior Programme Management and Business Integrator, representing the business throughout the SAP implementation.
We established a disciplined governance framework covering executive reporting, financial control, risk and dependency management, and milestone assurance. Acting as the business’s advocate, Neem held the System Integrator accountable for delivery quality, scope discipline, and adherence to agreed outcomes.
We ensured business process design, operational readiness, and change adoption were fully integrated into the technical delivery lifecycle. Clear escalation routes, performance metrics, and structured oversight maintained alignment between strategy and execution.
RESULT
The SAP programme delivered a modernised ERP platform aligned to business process requirements and operational objectives.
The programme provided MaagTechnik with a stable, scalable ERP foundation and demonstrated the value of strong client-side governance in complex enterprise transformation.
